What we do
What we do
Three services, and one note on how we work. They connect: most organisations come to us for one and find they needed another.
Bespoke software
We design and build operational systems, then support them for as long as you run them.
What that usually looks like
A process currently held together by spreadsheets, email, and someone’s memory. It worked at twenty people. At eighty it’s costing you errors, delays, and the constant low-grade risk that the person who understands it leaves.
Or: an off-the-shelf product that does most of the job, and a set of workarounds that have quietly become the actual process.
How we work
-
Discovery first, and it’s honest. We spend time on what you actually do before anyone writes code. Sometimes that ends with us telling you a product already on the market would serve you better. That answer costs you a conversation instead of a year.
-
You see it early and often. Working software in front of you in weeks, not a document describing software you’ll see in six months.
-
Fixed scope, visible cost. You’ll know what a phase costs before it starts. If scope changes, that’s a conversation, not an invoice surprise.
-
Built to be handed over. Documented, tested, and yours from the first phase — not assembled at the end. What happens after go-live is covered under support and maintenance below.
What we build with
.NET, SQL Server, and Azure for line-of-business systems. Web front ends that work on a phone in the field, because a lot of our users aren’t at a desk. UK-hosted by default.
- .NET
- SQL SERVER
- AZURE
- UK-HOSTED
Security
We build systems that hold personal data, financial records, and evidence that may be challenged months after the fact. Audit trails are standard, hosting is UK by default, and client data stays in the UK.
Monthly security assurance — ongoing scanning across your external estate, and a monthly report that tells you what’s changed and what needs attention, written for a director rather than a security engineer.

Support and maintenance
Commissioning bespoke software means choosing who you’ll be dependent on for the next decade. That question deserves more attention than it usually gets.
We still support systems we wrote fifteen years ago. The person who answers when you call is the person who designed the thing — not someone reading the documentation for the first time while you wait.
Support runs on an agreement with response times agreed with you rather than presented to you. Everything we build is documented, tested, and yours: you should stay because the relationship works, not because leaving would be painful.
How we deliver
There is a lot of noise about what AI will do to organisations like yours. Very little of it is useful if you’re the person who has to decide what to actually do on Monday.
Where we’re useful
-
Working out what’s worth doing. Most of the value in AI right now is in unglamorous places — drafting, triage, summarising, extraction, reducing the time a person spends retyping things. The dramatic use cases are usually the ones that create the exposure.
-
Working out what will get you in trouble. Where your data goes, what a supplier retains, what your clients’ contracts already say about processing, and what you’d have to explain if it went wrong.
-
Building it in a way you can defend. Human in the loop is a design principle in everything we build, not a line in the terms. A person reviews before anything consequential leaves the building, and there’s an audit trail of who approved what.
Why we can say this credibly
We’re a small team producing the output of a larger one, and we do it by using these tools throughout our own delivery — including building our own security tooling with them. We’re not describing a capability we read about. We’re describing how we work.
That also means we know exactly where they fail, which turns out to be the more valuable half of the knowledge.
Working with us
Start with a call. Thirty minutes, no charge, no pitch. You describe the problem; we tell you whether it’s one we can solve, what it would broadly cost, and what we’d want to examine first.
If it goes further, the next step is usually a short paid discovery — scoped, fixed price, and yours to keep whether or not you build with us.
